Admissions Overview

Oakhurst Cooperative Preschool (OCP) accepts children aged two to four years for classes two, three or five days per week.

Applications to OCP are accepted at the beginning of a calendar year for enrollment the following September. There are two required steps in the OCP admissions process.

  • STEP 1: Attend one of our Enrollment Information Sessions.
  • STEP 2: Complete and submit an OCP Admissions Application, along with a $75 Application Fee to: Oakhurst Cooperative Preschool, P.O. Box 2583, Decatur, GA 30031-2583, ATTN: MEMBERSHIP.
  • STEP 3: As part of our enrollment process, OCP will require that each family attend a ‘Prospective Family Meeting’. The purpose of the meeting is to get to know a bit more about your family, to more fully explain the cooperative nature of our school, and to address any specific, remaining questions or concerns your family may have. These discussions, will last up to 45 minutes and will be held at the school at a time that is mutually convenient to both OCP and the prospective family. The meetings will consist of 2-3 OCP representatives and 2-3 prospective families. After your application has been received, someone from OCP will contact you to schedule this meeting.

Enrollment Information Sessions and Tours

Oakhurst Cooperative Preschool (OCP) enrollment information sessions are held in January.

The Enrollment Information Session is a required step in the OCP admissions process. You will learn about the philosophy behind a cooperative preschool and the specifics of the program at OCP, as well as tour the school and and meet staff and current families.

  • Jan 30, 9:00 AM – Noon

Weekly tours are held throughout the school year. Please call 404.474.7255 to speak with membership representative about arranging a tour of our preschool for your family.

Space Availability

Are there currently spaces available at OCP? Please e-mail admissions@oakhurstcoop.com if you have specific questions about our current openings or would like to arrange a tour of the school. As classes fill up, applications will be considered throughout the school year and, if appropriate, added to the waiting list.
